The unique marketing strategy of Flottman Company of requesting its clients to "plant a tree" was rewarded with the 2012 Green Business Marketing Strategy Award. The award was presented by the Cincinnati Business Courier and U.S. Green Building Council Cincinnati Regional Chapter at a gala event hosted on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Xavier University. The august event was graced by the presence of over 250 business professionals and green industry leaders.
These awards are in recognition of people, organizations and companies that exhibit leadership in marketing strategy and other fields through sustainable practices throughout the Cincinnati USA region.The Flottman Company was awarded for the first time in the category of Green Marketing Strategies. The company's "Be green " marketing strategy worked wonders as the celebration of their 90th Anniversary by planting 900 trees earned them the finalist position in the Awards nominations and the first place too.
In the days of unique marketing strategy programs being implemented by Corporations going the green way, "Plant a tree" was a campaign that was promoted in the Brazilian rainforests and highlighted the Company's commitment towards protection of the environment and a greener world.Tom Flottman, CEO of the Flottman Company reminded the attendees in his acceptance speech that trees were a renewable resource grown on farms.
The green marketing strategy has managed to reap great benefits for the Flottman Company. Not to mention the prestigious rewards that followed.
